61Yc88WsQrL._SY490_BO1,204,203,200_With a Dr. Seuss feel, 7 Days of Awesome rhymes its way through each day of creation and encourages children to ponder God’s wisdom in creating this wonderful world. Accompanied by charming, animated illustrations by Colin Jack, this whimsical read-aloud book will be sure to delight both children and their parents.

Shawn-ByousShawn Byous grew up in a small town in Indiana. He has been drawing for as long as he can remember. He has illustrated over 3,000 T-shirt designs for major retailers and has worked for Nike, Tony Hawk, Toyota, and Disney. He enjoys mountain hiking and spending time with his wife and three kids.

Colin Jack is a Story Artist at Dreamworks Animation, in his spare time he illustrates kids books for Hyperion, Random house, Harper Collins and Simon & Schuster.

My Impressions:

Full of colorful and whacky illustrations and a rhyming story that will get your kids rocking, 7 Days of Awesome is a fun way to explore the Creation Story. As it poses questions about how things were made, this book focuses on the plans and purposes of God. On this fun journey not all the questions are answered — how would that really be possible — but the story points to the One who knows everything. A good choice for story time or for kids who are learning to read, 7 Days of Awesome is a recommended read!

Recommended.

Audience: children ages 4-8.
