Book Review: Inspiring Words

8 Jan

61I1HQpsB4L._SX387_BO1,204,203,200_Take time to relax, sit back, and meditate on God’s Word. Inside these pages, you’ll find thirty unique and creative illustrations focusing on key verses from the Bible, each offering an opportunity to connect with Scripture while exploring your creativity. Throughout, NIV verses are paired with detailed line art, and each page is printed on high-quality, thick paper stock that won’t bleed through. And when you’re finished coloring with markers, pens, watercolors, or colored pencils, the completed page can be removed, allowing you to display your work for even more daily inspiration.

My Impressions:

Coloring books for adults are all the rage. Many of my friends received them as Christmas gifts and are enjoying coloring while de-stressing from the day. Zondervan has added a coloring book to its list of books with Inspiring Words. Thirty Bible verses surrounded by intricate line drawings will provide you with hours of enjoyment while you meditate on God’s truth. What a wonderful way to relax and immerse yourself in God’s word! As I paged through Inspiring Words I was struck by the incredible detail and surprise images that will emerge as you color. This book is earmarked for encouragement for a special friend.

Do you want to join in on the coloring fun or do you have a friend who needs some down time? Then consider Inspiring Words.

Recommended.

Audience: adults.

My sister gave us all one of these for Christmas. I took mine to Grace Village when you were in Mississippi. We had a peaceful day, coloring, and listening to music.

Several of my friends have gotten adult coloring books and are really enjoying them. Great way to expend tension, anxiety and the “fidgeties”, especially while focusing on God’s word.
